Walk, jog, roll, or stroll your way to supporting some amazing mental health organizations!
In 2019 Highrock MetroWest hosted a 5k fun run in support of mental health resources for teens and then held a rockin’ party to celebrate. We raised enough money to sustain locally offered youth mental health first aid courses for several years, and we partnered with people from all over to spread a little light into a dark season.
This year, Highrock MetroWest joins with sister churches in Arlington, Cambridge, Lexington, Quincy, and Highrock Online to support SIX amazing organizations that are providing care for teenagers and families facing challenges to their mental health.
To allow for social distancing, the Jog for Joy 5K will be held virtually this year from November 29th to December 6th (“Jog Week”). Registration is open and once registered you’ll receive information on picking up your gear, how to participate during Jog Week, and more.
But that’s not all...
We want to celebrate the work being done for teens, and the effort and support YOU are giving. Join us virtually on December 6th at 3pm for a Facebook live celebration of The Jog for Joy 5k where we’ll announce the results, give shoutouts, enjoy musical guests, and hear a special greeting from a Boston and Olympic Marathon legend.
Whether you walk, jog, roll, or stroll, you’ll be supporting the following organizations:
Needham Youth and Family Services (Needham, MA)
Arlington Youth Counseling (Arlington, MA)
NuPath, Inc. (Regional resource based in Woburn, MA)
Families for Depression Awareness (National resource based in Waltham, MA)
Bridge Over Troubled Waters (Boston, MA)
Interfaith Social Services (Quincy, MA)
Follow the conversation on Facebook and join us for the celebration on December 6!
