Kidsrock Rocks!
Hello MetroWest Families,
Kidsrock is growing as we returned in person this past year. It is wonderful to see so many familiar and new faces each week! Every Sunday we sing songs together, play fun games and activities, and watch and discuss a Bible Story video.
During March, we focused on the word cooperation. We heard stories from Exodus, Luke, and Acts learning more about God’s desire for us to:
Work Together,
Work Together to help someone succeed,
Work Together to help others in need,
And to make Work Together a habit.
That's cooperation! Not only do we see so many examples of cooperation in the Bible, but we see it in everyday life too; at work, at school, at home... it's everywhere!
This month, we focus on HOPE with our new theme: Puzzled -- Believe There's a Bigger Picture. Life can sometimes feel like a giant puzzle. All we see is the piece we’re experiencing right now, and we’re not sure how it fits into the greater picture that is forming. We can’t always understand why some things happen to us or those we love. Yet, despite our confusion, we can have hope. Even in the toughest times, we can have hope because God sees the whole picture and can make something good out of something bad. As we enter the month of April, where are the places of hope you see?
Now, for a few practical details and upcoming things:
We plan on relaunching our Early Childhood program after Easter (April 24th), Woohoo! With the relaunch of our Early Childhood program, we want to re-establish a safe and consistent check-in system. We'll be introducing our new check-in system slowly over the next few weeks so we can learn it together! In the meantime, please be sure to walk your child/ren all the way to the classroom door, so that a leader is aware of who is dropping off. Once service is over, be sure to return downstairs to pick up your child/ren.
Summer Blast is approaching soon (July 18th-22nd) and it will take place in the evening! Be on the lookout for registration links in the next month or so both for participants and volunteers!
Lastly, if you have a 2nd grader and want to receive a Bible this year (or any 3-5th grader who has not received a Bible) please reach out to me (gracet@highrock.org). We like to celebrate these big milestones near the end of the school year with Bible presentations in the worship service.
Thanks, and God Bless!
Grace Taber, Kidsrock Director.
